On March 22 at 3 p.m., my exhibition will open at the Artischock gallery at Schoolstraat 26 in Rijwijk.

The term "strange muscles" refers to unusual muscle activity such as involuntary movements, cramps, stiffness, spasms, or small tremors, often caused by overexertion, stress, nervous system disorders (such as MS), or muscle diseases (e.g., dystrophies).

I associate it with general, common behaviors that we exhibit as humans.
With the impulses, tendencies, and urges whose origin and nature we know little or nothing about.
And which we cannot, or can only with difficulty, control.

This creates a person who moves partly uncontrollably, partly unconsciously, driven by "strange muscles": forces that are difficult to identify, which shape, influence, and dominate existence.
